ABOUT THE ROLE:
COAST Portland is seeking a motivated, highly organized Junior Sales Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone supporting the Director of Sales across both our growing International distributor network and our B2B Domestic Sales Team. This is a unique, high-visibility role that touches every dimension of the sales organization. From assisting in managing the sales pipeline and distributor communications, to coordinating priorities across four domestic Sales Managers spanning Industrial, Hardware, Auto, Sporting Goods, and Canada.
The right candidate will develop a complete picture of the COAST business, reduce coordination friction, and allow the Director of Sales to operate at full strategic capacity rather than managing day-to-day communications and follow-up.

The Junior Sales Coordinator will be expected to coordinate and expand the team’s communication efforts, ensure accurate customer follow up and work as a liaison on behalf of the Director of Sales between other Coast internal departments such as Marketing, Supply Chain Team and Product Development. Key responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
- Serve as the communication hub between the Director of Sales and the Domestic Sales Managers.
- Manage follow up on open items, action logs and inter-team communications.
- Coordinate cross manager initiatives and priorities.
- Prepare briefing materials, agendas, summaries of team calls and reviews.
- Support line review preparation and presentation materials.
- Coordinate with the Marketing department on behalf of the B2B Sales team on new product launch communications and asset delivery.
- Work with the Logistics team and Sales Admin team on order status, shipping timelines and lead time updates for the sales team.
- Maintain international distributor logs, next step trackers and communication records.
- Assist the Director of Sales in maintaining International pricing initiatives, programs and proformas.
- Coordinate with Marketing to assist International distributors in their asset and collateral needs.
- Track and manage post trade show follow up both for domestic and international business.
- Occasional travel may be required to support key account activities and tradeshows.
- Full-time (40 hours/week) role based in Portland, OR, with a hybrid schedule of four days onsite.
- Given collaboration across multiple time zones, this role may occasionally require flexibility outside of standard business hours. Strong self-management and ownership of time are essential.
- Drafting and sending follow-up correspondence on behalf of the Sales Director across international and domestic contacts.
- Maintain a live international pipeline tracker — status, next steps, and ownership — updated in real time.
- Prepare weekly summary for the Sales Director on open domestic team items and pipeline activity.
- Prepare pre-show meeting schedules, briefing packs, and post-show follow-up trackers for trade events.
- Assemble line review presentations, supporting data, and product spec sheets.
- Track post-launch new product performance across channels and report findings to leadership.
- Support KPI reporting on both international and domestic sales activity.
- Maintain a full communication log to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, sales operations, administrative coordination, or a related role.
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing, distribution, or B2B environment is a plus but not required.
- Experience supporting a multi-person team or coordinating across departments is highly valued.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint - is required.
- Experience with CRM software (Monday.com or similar) preferred.
- Experience with an ERP system (such as Netsuite) is a bonus
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities calmly and accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - you will be representing Director of Sales and the company in correspondence.
- High attention to detail; errors in pricing, timing, or contact information have real consequences in this role.
- Proactive and self-directed - able to anticipate what’s needed before being asked.
- Comfortable working across time zones and with international contacts.
- Professional, polished, and customer-first in all communications.
- Collaborative and trustworthy - this role handles sensitive pipeline and relationship information.

- Annual Salary: DOE- competitive entry level compensation with opportunity for growth
- Pay Frequency: Semi- Monthly
- Annual Bonus: Discretionary based on overall company performance
- Paid Holidays: Minimum of 8 paid holidays per year
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Front-loaded PTO available at hire (starting at 112 hours per year), increasing with tenure, and resetting upon employee anniversary date
